According to police, the victim was executed by being shot in the back. The body was stuffed with identification and money. It is not clear if Hunter was shot in the convenience store or at a residence nearby.

Alonzo Brooks' death

Kansas' Alonzo-Brooks case has a complicated and interesting past. He went missing on August 10, 2008. The Linn County Sheriff's Department did a search of the area near the farmhouse and Middle Creek. Soon after, a group of friends and family members organized a search for Alonzo. Alonzo was found dead within hours of his family's search.

Alonzo Brooks (a 23-year old Black man) was the subject of "Unsolved Mysteries" earlier in the month. Netflix has made public the case of a Kansas citizen who disappeared in 2004. Brooks' arrest was rewarded with a $100,000 reward by the FBI. Producers of the show claimed that they had received 20 credible tips within 24hrs of the reboot's premier. Three of those tips were connected to Brooks’s death.
